I am a Freelance Fantasy Illustrator who enjoys digital painting with Photoshop CS2 and my Wacom Intuos2 (12"x18" digital art tablet). May 2006, I received my BFA in Painting from James Madison University, leaving me free to pursue my art full-time. I am now quite busy building a freelance art business with clients around the world (literally!). I specialize in painting fantasy and science-fiction book covers and creating custom RPG character portraits for private clients.
I consider fantasy my work and play. My hobbies include reading fantasy and science-fiction literature, writing and painting in the service of my own fantasy world and stories, watching Miyazaki films, and playing video game RPGs. In my zanier moments you may find me contemplating the number 42, sword-fighting, eating chocolate-covered strawberries, desperately hoping for a four-foot blizzard, or sewing shinobi shozoku for stuffed gerbils.
Though born in Oklahoma, I currently reside in the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia.
I am currently looking for full-time employment as a Concept Artist in the video game industry (Fantasy/RPG focused studio preferred).
