Covers and Book Ideas
I just wrapped up another cover (this time a full "wrap"). This one was for Just Like A Fairy Tale by Sophia Babai, published by Luna Brillante.

I now am on the look-out for a new project. So if you need a fantasy book cover check out my site (www.LDiehl.com).

I'm also really tempted to start another illustrated children's book type project. Though I guess my problem is that I think I would need to really hammer out the "story" first. I've also been thinking about the need to somewhat simplify my style for such a massive endeavor, for practical reasons. Or I suppose "selective detailing" would be more the appropriate term.

All I know is that such a book would be somehow connected to winter In the flavor of The Snowman or The Polar Express -both were favorites of mine growing up. Not necessarily Snowmist though. Hmmm....

My Photographer Side
So a few days back I was "persuaded" to volunteer to take some senior portraits for my little sister Mary. I seriously spent the entire day taking photos of her little smiling mug... Most of them were taken on a trail "up" in the Blue Ridge Parkway. The ones below really caught my eye because of the color (I did very little in Photoshop). I must say, for a four-year-old camera, that has given me all sorts of mechanical problems, my Olympus C-5060 Wide Zoom (5.1 Megapixels) still takes pretty sweet images.
